I purchased EYE OF THE STORM & PRIME OBSESSION written by this author under the name of Monette Michaels and absolutely loved those books so much went in search for more. I really, really wanted to like this book but it just was not that enjoyable to me and I had a hard time deciding why.It is well written and a very erotic novel with a lot of sexual/love-making encounters and I enjoy a lot of heat at times but I actually found them boring at times and started skipping them. Maybe because there were so many that after a while they lost their edge.
I also felt as if I had started a book that was really part of a series but that somehow I had gotten hold of the book in the middle of series instead of the one that was first in the series. There is reference to the "Destroyers" in the beginning but the reader does really comprehend what they are and their agenda until later in the book. Also, several couples are introduced at the first which makes one wonder if there were books or a book about them that came before this one.
Also disjointing was the switch from one location, crisis, or couple to another. The switches did move the plot but it wasn't very smooth, for me.
While I am eagerly waiting for the next in the series related to EYE OF THE STORM and PRIME OBSESSION, I will have to say that in my view point this book was not a prime example of what the author is capable of.

From the get-go, I was on the edge of my seat. Lily and Carr drew me right in. The way the author interwove geology with suspense and astral sexuality was stunning and very different. I couldnft wait for them to actually meet! Bet youfre wondering what I mean. But thatfs part of the thrill of this storycthe build-up.

The enemies in this tale were fantastic. Cruel, decisive, yet hard to predictYDarcy Miller and Algernon Brody will make your rhetorical hackles rise. I suppose I loved to hate them?
Intelligent, thought-provoking, mind-blowing, Rae Morgan is a true talent. Earth Awakened is the ultimate good versus evil story done erotica style. Well written, this is by far one of the best novels Ifve read. Highly recommended!
